Phosphogypsum is an involuntary byproduct of phosphoric acid industry. Phosphogypsum is being stacked in a dedicated disposal area during the lifetime of projects. El Wady is working from day one with its R&D department and with reputable consulting companies to make the best use of the same.

Phosphogypsum can be used as a soil amendment to decrease the salinity of the soil, can be used as low grade fertilizer supplying both Calcium and Sulfur elements together with traces of P2O5, it can be used also as an additive to cement, used in the manufacturing of gypsum-board and in road paving...and much more.
